ASSAM: RE-REGISTRATION IN EMPLOYMENT EXCHANGES. (News form The Sentinel)
The re-registration of employment exchanges in the state is underway now and will continue until February 29, 2024. According to the Directorate of Employment of Craftsmen Training, Assam, re-registration in employment exchanges is taking place through the Sewa Setu Portal (sewasetu.assam.gov.in) in two options: with and without Aadhaar. All permanent residents of Assam above the age of 14 are eligible to re-register their names in the employment exchanges. For details, contact:

Documents
required to get Re-registration of Registration Card of employment seeker in
Employment Exchange in Assam
For
Aadhaar Based Registration:
1. Existing
Registration Card
2. Age
Proof: - Birth Certificate/ HSLC Admit card/ School Certificate ( Any one of
these three documents)
3. Proof
of Residency: -
1. Applicants
having AADHAAR Card with permanent address within the state of Assam will be
allowed to Register Online without visiting the Employment Exchange as per Office
Memorandum issued vide no. SKE. 42/2021/32 Dated Dispur the 19th July 2021.
(Only for verification of the state of ASSAM)
2. Driving
License (either self or parents), Copy of Chitha/Jamabandi (either self or
parents), Copy of Passport (either self or parents), Certified Copy
of Electoral Roll/EPIC (either self or parents).
4. Educational
Qualification Certificate: - Pass Certificate (S) and Mark Sheet(S)
5. Caste
Certificate in cases of SC/ST/OBC/MOBC/EWS applicants
6. In
case of P.W.D (Personswith Disability) candidate –Disability certificate issued
by competent authority.
7. Additional
Qualification Certificate (if any)
8. Experience
Certificate (If any)
9. Non-
Creamy Layer Certificate.

How
to apply for Re-registration of Registration Card of employment seeker in
Employment Exchange in Assam?
An
applicant may apply “Re-registration of employment seeker in Employment
Exchange” due to any of the following reason:

Apply renewal from paper-based registration card
·
Qualification Upgrade
·
Inter District Transfer
·
Profile Update
There
are two ways citizens may apply re-registration in employment exchange:
1)
Aadhaar Based: This is the preferred options. Citizens who possess an
Aadhaar belonging to Assam may apply re-registration in the employment
exchange.
2)
Non Aadhaar Based: This is only applicable for those candidates who do not
possess an Aadhaar due to NRC issues. They are advised to approach their
nearest Employment Exchange.
Below
are the guidelines for Aadhaar based and Non-Aadhaar based re-registration in
employment exchange:
For Aadhaar Based
Registration:
1. Applicant
must possess existing valid registration card.
2. The
permanent address associated with the aadhaar card must belong to Assam only.
3. Applicants
who are already employed and seeking better employment have to be registered
only after production of a “No Objection Certificate” issued by the employer.
4. All
text box with asterisk (*) symbol is mandatory to filled up.
5. Please
scan all Educational Qualification (Pass Certificate & Mark sheets in chronological
order from lowest level to highest level) into a single PDF and upload as one
single PDF.
6. After
successfully submission of application Employment Exchange Card (X 10) will be
issued to his/her registered Email.
7. Every
registrant shall renew his /her registration once in three (3) years in the due
month as indicated on his/her Registration card .
8. Failure
to renew the registration even after lapse of grace period (3 months), will
lead to cancellation of registration and subsequent removal from Live Register
maintained in the Employment Exchange.
9. No
request for renewal of registration after the expiry of the due month and grace
period shall be entertained under any circumstances.
For Non-Aadhaar
based Registration:
1. Applicant
must possess existing valid registration card.
2. The
candidates are eligible for Registration in one Employment Exchange only in the
state, where they are permanent residents within the jurisdiction of the
District.
3. Applicants
who are already employed and seeking better employment have to be registered
only after production of a “No Objection Certificate” issued by the employer.
4. Once
a candidate has registered online and completes the requisite information in
the form, he/she will be issued an acknowledgement receipt informing about the
stipulated date and time for physical verification of all original documents.
5. The
candidate is required to visit concerned Employment Exchange in person for
verification of all original documents on stipulated date and time.
6. All
text box with asterisk(*) symbol is mandatory to filled up.
7. Please
scan all Educational Qualification (Pass Certificate & Mark sheets in
chronological order from lowest level to highest level) into a single PDF and
upload as one single PDF.
8. After
physical verification if documents and certificates are found in order, an
Employment Exchange Card (X-10) will be issued. Applicant will receive
Employment Exchange Card through his/her Email.
9. Every
registrant shall renew his /her registration once in three (3) years in the due
month as indicated on his/her Registration card by either personally visiting
the concerned Employment Exchange or online. A grace period of three (3) months
is provided to the registrants.
10.
Failure to renew the registration even after lapse of
grace period, will lead to cancellation of registration and subsequent removal
from Live Register maintained in the Employment Exchange.
11.
No request for renewal of registration after the expiry
of the due month and grace period shall be entertained under any
circumstances.
Fees
